Put a Boot on It

Even when he was five Peter was a different kid on the pitch than off.  There is just something in him that turns on whenever he puts on his cleats.  These are the days your heart swells with pride.  He said to me, "you know mom, I think our team will be undefeatable."  He has a left boot that surprises the spectators and he is actually using his header accurately.  My favorite part is that while he is good he is not a jerk about it..on days I miss the game I will ask him if he scored and he will say nonchalantly, "mmhmm."  Meanwhile, Farrell says he scored three goals.  Who says motherhood doesn't pay?
